Client: Feinberg Hanson LLP
Scope: 8,000 sf headquarters relocation for law firm.
Charles Rose Architects relocated Feinberg Hanson offices from Wellesley to a new downtown Boston location. We evaluated three Boston sites before assisting the client in selecting a space on Boylston Street, across from the newly renovated Prudential Tower, and with striking views in all directions, including commanding views of the Charles River and Cambridge. Our client desired a contemporary office space that would balance vibrancy and sophistication, which we delivered on-time and on-budget.
The design features floor-to-ceiling glass walls and a strategic use of color to transform an outdated office into a modern law office focused on efficiency and collaboration. In response to their desire to work collaboratively, we created informal meeting spaces and a central café that serves as the “living room” and social hub of the office. The café features a communal table, lounge seating, and a colorful graphic mural, designed specifically for the space. The program includes a reception area, large board room, two conference rooms, twelve partner offices, four paralegal stations, and dedicated storage and filing rooms. In addition to the use of glass, other finishes and materials include oak-veneer casework, porcelain floor tiles, and quartzite countertops, all strategically employed to create an inviting, modern workplace.
